Favorite Japanese Words and Phrases
Niwa niwa niwa niwa tori ga imasu. -- In the garden, there are two birds.
Gochiso sama deshita. -- It was a feast! (Said, after a meal, in thanks.)
O-temae chodai itashimasu. -- Thank you. I will partake in your tea and its preparation. (Said in a tea ceremony)
Furu ike ya, kawazu tobikomu, mizu no oto -- Old pond, frog leaps, water sound (Famous Basho haiku)
Omamori -- Japanese good luck charms
Sugoi -- Awesome!
Matsuri -- Festival
Akachan-- Baby
Shooboo-(jido)sha -- Firetruck
